 No one has to say it out loud, but I'm going to say it anyway: 2020 is a crazy year.  When the library closed in March, many of my co-workers and I found ourselves working at the SF-Marin Food Bank. And like that old Dickens novel says, It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

no. 5 'Shrooms is out!

jot no.5 December 2019 A gallery of magic mushrooms found in San Francisco's Upper and Lower Haight neighborhoods with a brief cultural history of 'shrooms. Photos for this issue were taken between January 2017-October 2019. I've been planning this one out for a long time. But I didn't get any research done for the text until September 2019. That's when I decided to focus on the history of the "magic mushroom" - which is the mushroom that gets the most representation around here.
